    E-Dea has provided Color Line with their flagship product, eBooking©, since 2008.

    After a bespoke implementation and integration project and a continuous enhancement process, eBooking© became the “core” of the Color Line’s reservation and check-in platform providing all functionalities needed by the Company to manage on daily basis its booking, revenue and boarding operations.

    The main challenge has been to configure and tailor the eBooking© systems in order to properly handle the unique business model of Color Line that blends Cruise service to traditional ferry transport. Color Line owns the largest Cruise ships with car deck, MS Color Fantasy and MS Color Magic, which have the similar number of cabins as Europe’s 10th and 13th largest hotel and the capacity of between 550 and 750 vehicles.

    In 2013 Color Line started the implementation of the eBoarding© solution, natively integrated with eBooking©, to automate the check-in process at Color Line’s terminals.

    An average of more than 30% of passenger traffic has flowed through the eBoarding© self-service kiosks, just during the first months after system deploy. As real Business result, the Company has reported decreased boarding times, improved Customers satisfaction and reduced staffing for managing the check-in operations.
