eBoarding®
Integrated Boarding and Security System
eBoarding®
is an Integrated Boarding and Security Systemproviding all tools and advanced technologies for complying with ISPS rules and regulations during all access and boarding operations of passengers, vehicles and cargo.
The new ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) rules and regulations make mandatory the adoption of security and monitoring systems for both accessing Port and transiting through the boarding areas. Only passengers and vehicles with a valid boarding pass can access boarding areas, and their transit must be real-time monitored by using fast and flexible tools.
Such tools, as part of a complete integrated system, allow Port Authorities and Ferry Companies to comply with all ISPS rules and regulations, speeding-up boarding processes at the same time.
eBoarding® easily interfaces with existing operational contexts providing seamless integration with any Port and Ferry Company information system.
Access Gate Automation:
eBoarding® automatic Gate is designed and enhanced to respond to all boarding requirements in passengers and cargo boarding workflow.
Advanced LPR cameras enable detection of passengers with reservation, Port operators and unauthorized vehicles simply through the optical scan of the vehicle license plate. When a vehicle license plate is associated to an existing ticket, the boarding cards get printed directly at the access gate allowing passengers to go straight for the dock, avoiding this way additional queues.
Port Operators can be recognized through optical scanning (OCR) of their vehicles license plate or by means of an access badge.
Advanced Features:
- Vehicle Classification System (VCS)
- Weight in Motion detection (WIM)
- Damage Inspection Imaging System (DIIS)
- Passport and ID scanning
- Security Images Acquisition
- Multimedia Interface
- Rfid and barcode reading
- Integration with external TMS (Terminal Management Systems)
The system detects vehicle license plates and plays audio and video messages in the language related to the license plate country, giving useful information to the passengers (i.e. boarding dock, departure time, delays, directions for the dock, etc.).
The VCS provides useful information to Ferry Companies for both fares validation and garage arrangement and garage arrangement
Boarding Flow Control:
eBoarding® provides fast and flexible control tools for monitoring lanes, docks and boarding areas, speeding-up boarding flows. OCR cameras control transit of vehicles through the boarding areas giving the real-time status of the boarding process and detecting unauthorized accesses. Passengers control may be done using both wireless handheld devices and access gates equipped with barcode readers for boarding card validation.
Centralized Check-In System:
eBoarding®provides the required technology for managing the whole check-in process with a centralized system. Desktop clients and self-service kiosks speed up check-in operations reducing queues at ticket offices. eBoarding® works with many kind of tickets (i.e. traditional ticket, ticketless, SMS ticket, etc.) and has been designed for seats and cabins assignment as well as cabin keys integration with boarding cards (electronic door lock).
Real Time Monitoring:
The integration of access and boarding data allows real-time monitoring of both passengers and vehicles access to Port areas managing alerts and security levels. eBoarding® analyzes the information from all control systems and generates statistics and detailed reports. Control data may be accessed by Security Operators according to predefined access policies. An alert manager forwards alerts and signals on given events (unauthorized access, suspect vehicles, not boarded passengers, etc.). Searching tools can be used for tracking passengers and vehicles presence inside Port areas as well as their transit.
Boarding Card:
Boarding Cards, issued using any kind of formats can be used with barcode readers (i.e. wireless handheld computers) and/or magnetic stripe readers (card readers, electronic door lock, etc.) and/or Rfid equipments. eBoarding® prints boarding card according with ISPS requirements.
